It is derived from Corn.

What is the purpose of maltodextrin?

Maltodextrin is used as a carb source because it is neutral in flavor and texture, easily digestible, and readily available in supply. In fact is a very common food additive.

Is there sugar added to this product?

We do not have any ADDED sugar in this product. However, there are some naturally occurring sugars are coming mainly from the maltodextrin and whey protein concentrate, and called out on the label under the nutrition facts panel as 20g. Hope that helps!

There is no soy protein in serious mass. However soy lecithing is used as an emulsifier. Soy lecithin is the fat from soy, it helps with product texture and mixability. It is used in an extremely small quantity. The same is listed in ingredient list (INS 322i) and this is why soy is also listed as an allergen.

Can I take an entire serving all at once?

Yes however it's a lot of calories/carbs etc to consume at one time so often times people will spread it out through out the day.

wondering if taking 1 scoop of serious mass in the morning and 1 scoop at night is similar to having both/the full serving at once. Or does splitting the serving not have the same effect.

Serious Mass works by aiding you with caloric intake so whether you take the full serving at once or divide it into two portions it should not make a difference. As long as your total daily caloric intake (meals+snacks) stays the same and the physical activity levels stay the same (in short your calories in Vs calories out equation is unchanged) splitting the serving into two will give you the same amount of extra calories that a full serving taken at once will.
